They believe it is good for their children, because in such a highly competitive society, only good results could ensure a promising future. Chinese parents also believe that parents will be honored if their children can achieve great success in society. Therefore, they are willing to sacrifice their own time, hobbies and interests, to create much better conditions for children.

　　英語四級(jí)考試翻譯題材特點(diǎn)分析

　　首先、翻譯內(nèi)容多為中國文化傳統(tǒng)。

　　像歷年中出現(xiàn)的中國結(jié)、手工藝人、團(tuán)聚、祈求好運(yùn)、辟邪、帝王、瑰寶、中國園林、園林景觀、皇室成員、微縮景觀、假山、山水畫卷、 造紙、火藥、福、和、指南針、印刷術(shù)、瓷器等等，看似很難很難無從下手，但其實(shí)只有：中國結(jié)、帝王、中國園林、 造紙、火藥、福、和、指南針、印刷術(shù)、瓷器這些的翻譯比較固定，而其他的詞或短語則可以靈活地變通。比如 “皇室成員”不是只有the royal family這樣高大上的翻譯，也可以譯為：the emperor’s family，或者the king’s family. 當(dāng)然要想靈活自如，備戰(zhàn)過程中背誦積累是必不可缺的。

　　其次、四級(jí)翻譯的特點(diǎn)在于重復(fù)性。

　　因?yàn)槭墙榻B性的文章，而且內(nèi)容關(guān)于中國傳統(tǒng)文化，一些表達(dá)不可避免的會(huì)反復(fù)出現(xiàn)，比如：“在古代，人們用它來……，但現(xiàn)在主要是用于裝飾的目的”、“在中文里意味著愛情丶婚姻和團(tuán)聚”、“……常常作為禮物交換或作用飾品祈求好運(yùn)和辟邪”、“……在中國各地差別很大”、“相傳， 中國的……于五千年前發(fā)現(xiàn)了……，在明清期間， 遍布全國， 在六世紀(jì)傳到……”。這些句子具有重復(fù)出現(xiàn)的特點(diǎn)，介紹中國各種傳統(tǒng)習(xí)俗都頻繁用到。所以我們可以把這些表達(dá)的英文變成模板句子進(jìn)行背誦。

　　最后，英譯中靈活性很大，小說詩歌等翻譯也很靈活。

　　但是四級(jí)考的是中譯英，特別是介紹性文章，有它固定的技巧，比如切分句子，添加主語，主語為“我們/人們”直接變被動(dòng)，定語的三類翻譯方法，四級(jí)翻譯不求“雅”，抓住這些基本的技巧，做到“信”和“達(dá)”就可以笑傲考場。
